Matriarch Ansley and her new husband Jack have finally found a comfortable rhythm, but when a scandal sweeps through Peachtree Bluff and Jack is implicated, Ansley must decide if the man she’s loved since she was sixteen is truly who she thought he was.

The air grows crisper and the water calms, but for the Murphy family nothing is ever as simple as it seems. Through joy and heartbreak, these Southern women lean on each other, on quirky neighbors, and on the small-town charm that always calls them home.

When I write about homes on the page, I often draw inspiration from beautiful real-life interiors. Jackye Lanham’s waterfront house, photographed by Emily Followill for Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, felt like the perfect setting for this story.
